A pair of adjustable dumbbells and A space of 5′x5′.

User instructions for this workout:

Select a weight that you can use for 2 minutes

Set the timer and stop when the timer goes off

Keep resetting it for twice as long, and repeat for a total of 3 total sets

The goal is to beat your time from the last set

When you can accomplish the whole workout in 90 seconds, then its time to increase the weight

Washington DC personal Trainer Remembers His First Trainer

I remember when I was 17, I hired a personal trainer in Washington DC for the first time . What happened was that I’ve been hanging out at a gym for a few weeks and I talked with one of the trainers. I was telling him that I wanted to transform my body from where it was, and he said that he could help me out. He seems so sure and so confident that he’d be able to take me from point A to point B, and that I would love the results. Of course I loved what he had to say, but I couldn’t quite afford him. I was soon to find out that hiring a personal trainer costs a lot of money, and it was an expense that I wasn’t ready for.

As I was only 17, I worked at the local pool as a lifeguard. Of course I didn’t make much money, and I had to work overtime in order to save up for my goal. But I wanted to save everything I could for those personal training sessions. In time I said that the money they needed was worth it to hire that personal trainer. I was so excited and so glad that I had saved my money to reach my goals. Then after I paid my DC personal trainer, I showed up for our first session. He wore me out and he worked my body until I couldn’t take it anymore. Even though I was sore, I was so glad that I had saved the money for my sessions. Again, I want the body of my dreams. After the first week he told me to come back a second week, and come back three times during that week I follow his instructions.

In the midst of my second week with him, he told me that the sessions that I paid for were finished. If I wanted to have more sessions with him I needed to pay him more money. At this time summer was over, and the pools were closed. I couldn’t continue my job as a lifeguard. Because I couldn’t afford to keep seeing the trainer, I asked him if he could just give me the workouts to complete at home. He told me that it was something that he wasn’t allowed to do, although after I did some checking around, I found out that this wasn’t true. At the end of the day, I was still was no better off than when I first started. I paid for a few sessions, but my body wasn’t transformed. He made his money and he wasn’t willing to work with me anymore, because I had no more money to give him. I felt horrible, I felt cheated, and definitely I felt ripped off!

You see, that guy told me that I was going to have the body of my dreams if I just gave him a certain amount of dollars for the package that he advertised. I paid for the package but my body remained the same. But the sad truth is that many people are being promised the bodies of their dreams, only to find that it comes down to dollars and cents. People would be amazed if they knew how many clubs were telling their trainers to practice these types of deceptive practices. They don’t care about their patrons, they only care about the dollars and cents. My experience stayed in my mind and in my heart. It’s because of the experience that I had with my first trainer, that I decided that I would never do this to any of my clients.
