Fall Coffee Fix From Georgetown’s Weight Loss Expert

It’s fall and the time of year when your favorite coffee house is serving up warm feelings in a cup. Yes, I mean the ever tasty Pumpkin Spice Latte, Eggnog Latte, or even a Gingerbread Latte. You are probably aware of all the sugar and extra calories these drinks can carry and may even try to avoid them.

As a fitness coach and owner of The Body You Want I try to find things that will help my clients meet their goals in the time they actually have and without being hungry. So…here is a simple and easy recipe that you can make at home in about 2 minutes or less and won’t make you think about anything else but how delicious it is!

Everything you need for a delicious morning!

It’s called The Body You Want Pumpkin Spice Coffee (pretty original name – right?!)

1 individial serving of regular instant coffee ( I like Nescafe) prepared as instructed

couple drops of EZSweets

Couple dashes (more to taste) of Pumpkin Pie Spice

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

2 tables spoons of grass-fed cream

Washington DC Personal Trainer’s Tips for Surviving Football Season in Your Favorite Jeans!

Football season is HERE! And I for one am very excited. To me football season means lots of fun, quality  time with friends and family, great games, and great food. However, sometimes my jeans are a bit too tight by the end of the season. As a Washington DC personal trainer and Redskins fan I thought I would share some helpful tips and recipes to keep you looking great in your jeans all season.

3 Things to Remember:

  1. Always plan ahead for game day.
  2. Eat a healthy meal before heading out to the game or bar – this will keep you from munching.
  3. Make game day your ONE cheat day of the week.

Whether you are tailgating at the game, watching at the bar, or having a game day party keep the above in mind. Below are some of my favorite snacks and recipes which I hope you enjoy!

DC Personal Trainer Gives your the BEST Burger Recipe

I am no stranger to burgers. This recipe I am about to share with your is from my dad. He grilled these burgers up over the weekend and I was thankful he invited me over to share. These are great when you are working on getting The Body You Want.

Great home cooked/grilled meal!

GRILLED HAMBURGERS

1. If possible cook with local wood on an outdoor grill

2.Buy high-quality, low-fat grass-fed ground beef

3. Buy high-quality Italian hot pork sausage – about a pound

3. Put both meats into same bowl.

4. Salt and pepper to taste.

5. Use your bare hands to mix it up and form patties.

6. Grill until done!
